Description
This painting depicts a small fishing village (315 families) on Koh Panyee Island, Phang Nga Bay, Thailand, off Phuket. The villagers are descendants of Toh Baboo and two other families who boated from Indonesia looking for a new home. There's a quiet hum dominating these giganic, limestone cliffs above this community built on stilts. The number of wooden and concrete piles holding this community in its hands are unknown.
