Artist's Description

Buddha of Compassion, Shakyamuni, as seen here is located at Jokhang Temple, Lhasa, Tibet. Shakyamuni lived as a wandering ascetic, surviving without water or food until he was skin and bone. Example: if you're happy, saddness will come. If you're sad, happiness will come, so don't get too excited about either. Take the middle path, which provides a type of liberation or freedom from suffering. This concept set into motion the wheel of Dharma.
